United States ex rel. Rudolph v. Tremco, Inc. (District of Columbia)

Ohio roofing company executive Greg Rudolph brought this $ 61 million case, claiming his former employer violated the False Claims Act's prohibition on false claims submitted under GSA purchasing rules. The United States Department of Justice settled the action in August 2013 for $60.9 million.

Greg Rudolph's case alleged that Tremco and its parent, RPM International, Inc. did not give the federal government the best prices for roofing materials, as required by its GSA (Government Services Administration) contracts, known as the GSA Schedule. His lawsuit described quality issues with the roofing materials supplied.
